The remarkable voice of Leaves' Eyes hits us with her
third album, and she again looks set to captivate the listener
with a record full of finely crafted pop/rock music. I will
not hide the fact that I am an out & out fan of Leaves'
Eyes, and of course Liv Kristine too. The title track (a
downloadable single) gets the record underway, and is a
very catchy little number that screams mainstream radio
airplay. 'Twofold' slows things down a little, with Liv's
voice sending shivers down my spine, while 'Train To Somewhere'
has an acoustic intro, before the rest of the band kicks
in offering another upbeat and catchy pop/rock number. 'Love
In Grey', 'Lifeline' and 'Wonders' are slow acoustic tracks,
and are so enthralling to listen to. 'Emotional Catastrophies'
and 'Boys at the Window' ups the ante a touch, and are so
infectious that you would need a dose of medication to avoid
catching anything :) The awesome 'Versified Harmonies' and
the beautiful 'The Rarest Flower' round things off. Most
the songs here run at around the three to four minute mark,
and the whole package was produced by hubby Alexander Krull
(who else) at Mastersound Studio. As always he has done
a grand job. Super stuff! 9/10 (Reviewed by Dave)
