Third album from this Finnish prog rock band and like their 2005 release 'Metaepitome' it sees the band go off in all sorts of musical avenues. The album's overall theme is one of the human instinct and the will to live. Album highlight has to be 'Entropy' which is the heaviest song on the album with heavy guitars and the aggressive side of Alex Keskitalo's vocal range (he is not a bad flautist either as can be heard throughout the course of the album). Stunning stuff and a great tune. Another aspect of the band which draws the listener is the keyboard work of Tarmo Simonen, who adds some magnificent swirls and flurries on each song although the epic 'Lost Inside' (musically very much like Porcupine Tree) highlights his work well. In fact the only piece of music that seems out of place is the short instrumental 'The Sun'.***

Overhead play good, atmospheric modern progressive rock music that has a wide appeal and musically the band are extremely accomplished. Nicely produced with a rich, deep sound and no one instrument crowding out everything else. Inside Out should have snapped this band up by now!
